Description:

The Java EViewer is a Java program for HEP event visualization. At present it allows you to see DELPHI detector with different degrees of detail, plus some events. In the next weeks (hopefully) more functionality will be added, such as the option to choose the event & detector list from different servers. This Java version is mostly based upon de C++ version developed for windows. The class diagrams are very closely related to those in the C++ version and the ideas are kept untouch when possible.

Instructions:

Short after downloding this page a small window will show up in your screen. That's the Main Window from which most of the operations must be done. Then you can follow theses steps:

1. Press the XY View and/or the YZ View and/or the XZ View buttons or select the corresponding choices in the New menu item to show up new windows. These ones are the Graphic Views. Here is were the event will be drawn.
2. If nothing is shown on those windows just press their Paint button (something is wrong and they don't refresh as they should).
3. Then you can select a detector from the Detector choice button on the Main Window or choose one from the Detectors menu. The actual detectors that can be loaded are:





Detectors	Description
Delphi	Full DELPHI detector
Microvertex	DELPHI Micro Vertex detector only
NoMV	Full DELPHI detector except the Micro Vertex.





4. You can also select one HEP event from the Events choice button on the Main Window or from the Events menu. All the events are described in my prethesis.
